Our Final Schedule

While we were in Okinawa our schedule changed several times.  Posted here is the final schedule from when Peggy left Florida until the departure from Okinawa.  While were there we were split up sometimes into three groups and sometimes into 4 groups since most of the dojos are too small to have 30 women working out in them so we took turns at different dojos.

meet with Mike Geiseck, call Kanmei Uechi,

Called Kiohide; called Breyette; and called Jinkichi; clean dojo

Thursday April 8, 2004

Morning: Inada visit; went to bank in Shuri; stopped at Shureido GI Company,

Afternoon: Lunch on ocean at Italian Restaurant with Germans and Yamashiro, called Shinjo, commissary shopping with Brett bought pans/dishes/soap/toilet paper/water, etc.

Evening: 6:00 budget meeting at headquarters, out to eat with Takamiyagi and others wrapped gifts till late.

Afternoon: Called Miyagi with Mike Giesack,

Morning: 11:00 depart for Moon Beach

Afternoon:  spent at Beach and walking around town

DAY 1: Depart: Tour Group meets and departs together in Chicago
Morning: Leave Moon Beach at 11:00 a.m.

Afternoon: banking at gate two street, lunch at soba house with Yamashiro & Germans

2:00 meeting with Nakasone from Shureido gi Company

3:00 on base shopping with Brett

5:45 meeting at hotel with owner

7:00 p.m. meeting at Chatan Dojo with: Toshio Higa, Sakae Uechi, Shigeru Takamiyagi, and Tsutomu Nakahodo for program development and proof reading.

Tuesday April 13th

DAY 2:

Morning:  meeting in Naha with Jinkichi & wife with “youth Exchange director”

Afternoon: Lunch with Jinkichi & Keikosan

Evening: Arrives:Okinawa 10:00p.m.Americans/ 10:30p.m. Canadians// transfer by tour bus to hotel

DAY 5: 9:00 a.m. Hotel pick-up by USMC BUS

Morning:  IIIDIV USMCMADFE & Tour Demonstration at Camp Courtney

 9:30 a.m. 10:30 a.m. practice at Gym

10:30-11:30 a Joint Demo. 15 Minutes for MCMAP  / 20 Minutes for your group followed by about 10 minutes of joint training. Then photo op time.
11:30-12:30 Buffet lunch at the Tengan Castle Restaurant on Camp Courtney Marine Base

1:00- 1:30 Transport to Sokei Machida’s Art Demonstration of his paintings

1:30- Hotel transports
