As preparation for this unique trip begins we have started to develop new friendships and participate in meetings, fund raisers and social activities that focus on this tour.  Friendship and unity is the foundation of this tour and it is here in the planning and preparation stages that it will begin to grow and flourish.  Following are pictures of these different events.

"FRIENDSHIP" calls each of us into life; it is fundamental to living a quality life and is our only hope for one united world. With its power, humanity will develop and flourish and, like our dreams, it is boundless. "  Peggy Hess

Celebrating Women in Martial Arts

For every woman who's donned a gi
Who's entered a kwoon, kwan, or class

For every woman who's thrown their first strike
And told their nerves to go fly a kite

For every woman who's faced their fears
Who's endured glances, looks and jeers

For every woman that's stuck to her guns
Stayed in that class and didn't run

For every woman with the courage to train
We honor you
We celebrate you
We respect you
We hold you in high regard

For every woman who comes to train
Stands on the shoulders of pioneers

Each generation of women standing taller than the one before.

Mushin Do, in West Greenwich, Rhode Island, had the grand opening of it's new location on Saturday June 21st.  The participants from Massachusetts made the trip to Rhode Island to support Mushin Do and get the opportunity to meet the Rhode Island women.  Peggy Hess was also visiting from Florida and was able to attend and our accompanying instructors Steve Banchick and Jack Summers were able to attend.
